Founded by entrepreneur (and amateur mechanic), Tom Frascone, Mōtōneko pays homage to the Bōsōzoku motorcycle gangs of Japan, which thrived between the late-1970s and early-2000s. The first Mōtōneko location, now known as Mōtōneko Go-Go, was launched on the BOLD campus, in Downtown Sarasota, Florida, in December of 2020.
Executive Chef, Maria Palafox, presents authentic Japanese ramen and other inspired light bites – including Japanese favorites, like egg salad sandwiches – complimented by a full menu of Japanese beer and sake, and a rotating selection of wines.
Mōtōneko uses locally-roasted beans to craft a variety of coffee and espresso drinks, which are available throughout the day. Brewed-to-order, loose leaf tea is available hot or iced, and Japanese soft drinks (including Ramune sodas), are always on hand.
AUTHENTIC
Imported and fresh ingredients are combined to make the best quality (and tasting!), ramen you’ve ever had. Try some light bites, like steamed gyoza or rainbow bagels.
